This book deals with both sides of the equation, with a helpful chapter on 'Dogproofing your child'. There is also a discussion of which dog breeds are suitable for families with children. Not everyone will agree with Kilcommons' recommendations, and it's worth comparing his views with the recommendations in 'Choosing a Dog for Dummies', reviewed in our dogs general selection of books.
